Autogenerating permalinks with a date

    I have a question about Permalinks. I would like to use the date field in the url since this is for a blog. Do you know why it is using the date imported instead of the date field? Is there any way to use the date field?

    It uses the date the permalink is created. For your initial import, you'll want to manually create/edit the permalinks.

    Ah ok. Is there a way to set the date it is created when importing? I am importing posts from a wordpress blog that goes back 3 years.

    This becomes an issue if we ever need to change the way the url's are built, if you ever had to 'rebuild' the permalinks it would break again.
