ID of Parent Entry

    Is there a way to display the ID of the parent entry? For example, let's say I have a top-level collection, with a sub-collection, and I enter into the context of the sub-collection. I know I can show the Vae ID of the sub-collection entry using the Vae shortcut below:
    <v->
    Is there a way I can also show the Vae ID for the parent entry from the top-level collection while in the context of the sub-collection entry?

    Use: <v=../id>

    Hmm... thanks Kevin. That makes sense, and I tried it, but it doesn't appear to be working. I am not using the permalink structure from the back-end of the site, instead I am currently using href attribute to set the file ref. Could that be effecting it?

    Not sure. What happens if you do: <v:section path=".."><v:debug /></v:section>
